3RD WORKING FIRE OF THE DAY FOR LOWER DAUPHIN COUNTY UNITS

Saturday, February 18, 2012 Sat, Feb 18th, 2012 9:11:00 pm This evening the 54-1 Box was dispatched for Redwood Avenue in the Crestview Village Mobile Home Park.  Engine 88(Capt. Coble) responded within a couple minutes, with 5 personnel, and was advised of a mobile home fire with flames and smoke visible.  Capt. 54(Naples) arrived a few minutes later reporting a working fire.  Engine 88 arrived soon after and pulled a crosslay to the front door.  As smoke conditions quickly changed and revealed that a flashover was evident, the Engine officer quickly performed horizontal ventilation at which time fire began venting from nearly every window.  The Engine's attack crew made entry after knocking down the porch fire and quickly advanced through out the mobile home.  With the bulk of the fire knocked quickly, the Engine's crew met up with Engine 54's crew who entered through the rear door, and began checking for extension and extinguishing hot spots.  Truck 88(FF Slippey) arrived with 4 personnel and assisted with opening up as well as starting PPV.  The incident was placed under control and soon after, Command released the 88 units.  Engine and Truck 88 out for a little over an hour.
